QUICK

Quickly I would like to tell you that Emily is doing a Twitter chat today, in about 20 minutes!

"Make sure to follow @yahooomg tomorrow at 3pm PT/6pm ET for a live Twitter chat with @emilyosment ! Ask her a questions using #emilyo!"

I will update later about what was said and the such. I can't do it live due to other obligations.

Peace out!

Live chat comments

Since I wasn’t able to watch the live chat actually live, I watched it on YouTube thanks to StarFishLovely. I learned a lot about Emily that I didn't know before. For instance, that she likes golf. While I knew she was into sports I didn't realize how many she actually did. The list she gave included soccer, snow boarding, golf, and surfing (because "it's always sunny in California").

I also learned that she is attending Laural Springs School. Which I looked up, and turns out it is an "online distance learning" school. It hosts an impressive list of current students and Alums including Hayden Penettiere, Elijah Wood, Raven Symone, the Sprouse twins, Kristen Stewart, and Jordan Sparks. Kristen actually gave a little blurb about the school when she was 14 and it's on the site under "students in the news," if you want to look then HERE'S the link. You have to search a little, bit it's there, I promise.

Emily also mentioned in the chat a book she was reading. I had to try a few google searches before I figured out the authors name, but the book is On The Road by Jack Kerouac. It is about a man who goes on a road trip in the 1940's and 1950's. It seems like a good read and comes suggested by Emily Osment. If anybody has read this book, you should leave comments to tell me more about it :)

She also talked about TV shows and movies, encouraged everybody to watch GardenState, which I would have to agree with, it is a very good movie. She talked about her album and other events. If you missed it too and want to watch the whole chat as well, then go to the link in the first paragraph!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Events and Tour

I have added an Events section!! It is on the right side of the page and has tour dates, appearances, and other events.

Speaking of Tour, Emily is going on one with Push Play very soon! It is an East coast tour and in small venues. The good thing is that this means the tickets are not going to be very expensive, mostly between $10-$15. Some of the venues have extra charges if you are under 21, but usually under $5. All of the concerts are posted in the Event section, if you want to buy tickets then click on the event and the ticket info will come up. Since I live on the West coast I wont be able to attend any of the concerts, but I hope some of you will go! If you do go, tell me about it, leave comments and let me know how it was.

Seventeen

Emily was recently interviewed by Seventeen magazine about her new EP. I don't know about you guys, but I used to read this magazine every month, front to back. I love that they are giving her more press. I hope that she will actually be in the magazine soon and not just online, but I guess we will have to see. If you really want to see her in the mag you guys should send letters to the the people who make it happen!!! You can email your suggestions to mail@seventeen.com, and I really recommend doing it :) If you want to read the interview, or at least the part they put online, then follow this link Seventeen interview

Emily's play list

If you're interested in the music that Emily listens to there you should check out her play list of course!! If you follow this link http://ow.ly/x8fQ then you can check it out. There are some great songs on it, some older rock, some alternative, some indie songs, overall great.

All The Right Wrongs is FINALLY OUT!

Emily has been tweeting about it non-stop for awhile now and it has finally arrived! All the Right Wrongs is here and the song list is as follows:
1. All The Way Up
2. Average Girl
3. Found Out About You
4. I Hate the Homecoming Queen
5. You Are the Only One
6. What about me

It was more than I expected it to be. She has a very powerful voice and at times is very reminiscent of an early Avril Lavigne. Most of these songs are about rough break-ups and I would go as far as to say that it seems most of them are about the same break-up. Definitely worth buying and something any young girl (or boy) could listen to on repeat for hours.

This EP is not by Hollywood Records, which means it is not being distributed by Disney. Yes, she does say the word "damn" in a few of her songs but it in now way detracts from their quality. She has signed with Wind-Up Records, possibly as an attempt to distance herself from the Disney image? Or maybe she wanted free reign over her songs without the restrictions presented by the Disney cooperation. Either way, hopefully this will lead to a full record in the future.

Be sure to support Emily by buying the songs on iTunes and requesting her single "All the Way Up" on RadioDisney and other radio stations!!!! Remember, she can't make more music unless we are buying it :)

I would love to hear from you readers! What do you think of the new songs? Was it a good idea for her to go with a record company other than Disney?
